In honor of the launch of our Salsa-Madness.com web site, where we explore the fun and creative process of salsa making, we raided our garden for chili peppers, tomatoes and more and whipped together a few batches of fresh salsa. The beauty of having a productive garden is the ability to create a fresh salsa in minutes pretty much any time your garden allows it. With just a few other ingredients on hand, you’ll be onto making awesome homemade salsa recipes in no time. Here are the three we created this weekend, along with the posts of the original recipes.
Cherry Pepper-Cayenne Salsa Recipe
Another garden fresh salsa, this one has a nice level of heat from the spicy cayenne peppers and hot cherry pepper. It also introduces a smoky element in the form of chipotle powder, which is a very nice addition.

Orange Bell Pepper Salsa Recipe
You’ll get a slight bit of kick from the jalapeno peppers, but if you’re looking for a milder version, you can easily do so by coring the jalapeno peppers before using. You’ll love this for the enticing orange coloring to the salsa.

Salsa Del Toro Salsa Recipe
This is a very fresh salsa. No roasting of the chili pepper needed, though you can certainly do so if you wish. Without the roasting, you get a different, more green-garden flavoring, which we love, though we love a good roasted version as well. The version of this salsa opts out of the roasting and opts in for a bit more kick.
