Chili Pepper Gardening Information

Check them out! We thought we'd show off a couple of the habanero seedlings currently growing on our window sill. Aren't they adorable? We're growing a huge amount of chili peppers this year, but here in zone 5, it's too early to plant them in the ground. Always wait until there is absolutely ZERO chance of frost. Chili peppers don't like frost at all. Also, when watering your chili pepper seedlings, let them dry out for one day before watering them, as they prefer drought conditions.

Also, as they grow larger, be sure to transfer them to appropriately sized pots to accommodate their growth.

Pork chops are so good! We love them grilled, but especially so when you've rubbed them down with a nice habanero powder. Also, we wanted our pork chops nice and juicy, so we brined them. Have you ever brined? Oh, it's absolutely easy and is a great way to ensure your chops come out nice and moist. We included some additional habanero powder in our brine mixture, just to make sure the heat really came through.
