Here in Zone 5, we're getting ready to bring our chili pepper seedlings outdoors. It's that time! Many of you elsewhere in the world and in warmer climes may already have your pepper plants in the ground, but if you haven't yet, it's getting close. We started our plants from seed indoors, and they're coming along swimmingly. Just check out our poblano plants below. Holy Moly!

Seriously, we're going to have some outstanding poblano peppers and other chili peppers this year. We absolutely can't wait to get creating with our peppers, cooking up all sort of fun and interesting meals. Help! We're drooling at the thought!

Theme Month
We're trying something new at the Madness series of web sites - theme months! Each month we'll focus on recipes and information related to a specific theme, centered around each web site theme as well, of course.
May Theme: Spicy Breakfast Recipes!
Chili peppers for breakfast, you say? Heck yes! We love chili peppers any time of the day for any meal. The chili pepper doesn't always need to be the focus of the meal, but a nice level of spice and chili pepper flavor can take any traditional meal and bring it to life! Taste buds desperately NEED attention and stimulus!

New Recipe!
We're always working up new chili pepper recipes! Here is one of our latest, in honor of Spicy Mustard Month.

Breakfast Fritatas are a favorite in our household. They’re easy to prepare. You can always prepare them ahead of time, refrigerate, and pop them into the oven when your guests arrive (or when your beautiful partner wakes up for a nice breakfast in bed). For this recipe, we rely on the mild but distinctive flavor of the Poblano pepper. Paired with minced onions, encouraged by fresh cilantro, and embraced by cheeses and spices, this Fritata will become a favorite for you as well.

How to make stuffed poblano peppers with Guy Fieri
Guy Fieri is cool. We wish we were as photogenic as Guy so we could do more video recipes in our kitchen. Don't get us wrong, we like how we look, but Mike isn't quite ready for the Food Network. =) Still, he can make a heck of a mean stuffed poblano!
