Mike's Monster Chili Burgers
These chili burgers are 1 inch thick and sure to satisfy! We have a hard time grilling up tiny burgers. With this burger recipe, you get a half pound of choice beef seasoned with chili powder and topped with your choice of condiments. We chose jalapeno peppers, of course, and good old American cheese, although cheddar would be nice as well.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1-2 teaspoons chili pepper oil
- 2 teaspoons bread crumbs
- 2 whole wheat buns
Directions
- To a mixing bowl add all ingredients and combine – be sure to mash up ground beef to evenly distribute the seasonings
- Form into 2 1 inch thick ½ pound patties
- Grill over a pre-heated grill at medium heat 15-20 minutes flipping once ½ way through for medium doneness
- Serve on toasted buns with good old American cheese and top with jalapeno slices or whatever condiments you prefer
So extremely easy!
