Spicy Marinated Pork Chops

Pork chops are perfect for the grill, but this recipe also easily works for baked or fried pork chops. If you’re using thinner cut chops, adjust your marinade and cooking time accordingly, but we love our chops thick and meaty. Also, we call for a habanero garlic hot sauce, as we like full spicy flavor, but you can substitute your favorite hot sauce here, or just experiment with many and see how the flavor varies from sauce to sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 8-ounce pork chops
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 4 tablespoons habanero garlic hot sauce
- 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
Cooking Directions
- To a small mixing bowl, combine lime juice, hot sauce, jalapeno and onion. Mix well.
- Add pork chops to a plastic baggie, then add your hot sauce mixture. Seal baggie and massage the marinade into the meat.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour. You can leave this overnight for fuller flavor.
- Heat a grill to medium heat. Add pork chops (include the marinade).
- Grill 5-6 minutes, then flip chops and grill another 2-3 minutes, or until meat is cooked thoroughly through.
- Serve!
NOTE: A ¾” inch porch chop should cook thoroughly through in about 8 minutes. Do not overcook, as the chops can become dry, but ensure pork is always cook through and not pink in the middle.
