We were asked to do a review of Rippin' Red Wing Sauce, so we decided to cook up some seared scallops. Ever since we visted Bar Harbor in Maine, we've loved our scallops buffalo style. Here is the recipe.
Ingredients
1 pound large scallops, sliced in half lengthwise
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of your favorite buffalo sauce
1 ounce tequila
Spray oil
Cooking Directions
Heat a saute pan to medium heat and lightly coat with oil.
Season your scallops with the garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper.
Saute scallops about 2 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
Add shot of tequila and set aflame with a lighter or match. Let the alcohol burn down, about 30 seconds.
Add most of the buffalo sauce and heat about 30-60 seconds.
Transfer scallops to a serving plate and top with remaining buffalo sauce. Serve!
