Sweet and Spicy Baked Sweet Potatoes

If you love sweet potatoes but are watching your calories, you can certainly enjoy this side dish with some dash of flavor. Sweet potatoes are naturally good for you and have a distinctive flavor. Be careful not to overdo the sugar. This recipe turned out quite sweet and nicely spicy.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds sweet potatoes (512 calories)
- 2 tablespoons chili powder (48 calories)
- 2 teaspoons unpacked brown sugar (22 calories)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (17 calories)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (8 calories)
Cooking Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin slices.
- Add potato slices to a lightly sprayed baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, stirring half way through.
- In a small mixing bowl, mix chili powder with brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over potato slices.
- Bake another 20 minutes, stirring again about half way through.
- Remove potatoes from oven and add to a serving bowl.
- Dash with fresh lime juice and serve!
