Taco Burgers
I have a problem making small burgers, as you can see. This particular recipe brings the best of the taco world to your burger, and works perfectly on the grill. Feel free to vary up the cheeses, but we used a spicy habanero cheese for some added kick.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces ground beef (or a mix of ground beef and turkey)
- 2 teaspoons taco seasoning
- 2 slices spicy habanero cheese
- 2 tablespoons refried beans
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 buns
- Sliced jalapeno peppers, onion, and tomato for topping
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with taco seasoning and garlic. Mix well.
- Form into 2 patties. You can also form into 3 or 4 patties for smaller burgers, but we like them big!
- Set burgers onto a grill over medium heat and grill 10-12 minutes, or until desired doneness. Be sure to cook longer if using ground turkey, until meat is no longer pink in the middle.
- Top each burger with about a spoonful of refried beans and grill 2 minutes more.
- Top with cheese and grill until cheese is melted.
- Garnish and serve!

Delicious!
