The easiest, creamiest avocado dip recipe you’ll ever need, with only three ingredients. It’s perfect for game day parties, holiday gatherings, or as a simple, quick snack.

This has to be the easiest recipe I’ve ever posted here on Chili Pepper Madness. Easy is good, right?

We’re talking maybe 60 seconds to whip this crazy dip together. The only hard part you’ll have is slicing open and peeling an avocado and softening up a bit of cream cheese. Need help? Here: How to Peel an Avocado.

Oh my, you might dirty up a knife and a spoon in the process. The horror.

3-Ingredient Cajun Avocado Dip – Recipe

We all need recipes like this in our lives because of game day! #GameDay. And parties, right? Family gatherings! Last-minute get togethers.

They happen all the time, especially so now that summer is on the way and all the sports are starting up again. Plus, yeah, there’s always some holiday or another or some party invite.

You can’t help it. You’re popular.

There is no reason to stress about what to serve or carry along with you when you have this recipe in your back pocket – 3-Ingredient Cajun Avocado Dip. As the recipe title cleverly implies, you only need THREE (3) ingredients to bring it together – an avocado, cream cheese, and a Cajun seasoning blend.

BOOM! So easy. And super tasty, too.

The Easiest Avocado Dip Recipe on Earth – How to Make It

Bold statement, I know. But truly, this avocado dip recipe is beyond easy to make.

3-Ingredient Cajun Avocado Dip – Recipe

Step 1: Peel an avocado and toss away the pit.

Step 2: Add the avocado to a food processor with 3 ounces of cream cheese and a teaspoon of Cajun seasonings.

Step 3: Process until smooth.

DONE! I could have called this 3-Step Avocado Dip.

Recipe Notes

There ARE some considerations for making this the best avocado dip you can make. First, you’ll want to use a very ripe avocado. It needs to be soft, but not turning black. A softer avocado will result in a creamier result.

Second, the seasonings are negotiable here. I used a simple Homemade Cajun Seasoning blend that I make at home, which consists of paprika, cayenne, garlic, salt, oregano, but you can use your favorite Creole blend or a store bought blend that you prefer.

This totally works with taco seasonings as well. Try this homemade taco seasoning blend recipe. Or just use one of those packets you get at the store. The choice is yours.

That’s it. Not much else to say. Quick post today. No reason to expound on something that is supposed to be fast, right? Serve it up with chips! Enjoy it!

  1. Does this dip turn dark before serving? I’m needing to serve about 100 people at a crawfish boil…

    1. Michael Hultquist - Chili Pepper Madness

Kim, I’ve never made this for a large party and haven’t had it sit very long. I suspect it might turn brown after a while, considering the amount of avocado in the recipe. I know you can freshen it up with citrus, but not sure how long it will last without turning.

My parents special ordered live crawfish from Louisiana for a crawfish boil at their house near Chicago. I was looking for cajun-themed appetizer that was easy to eat and wouldn’t fill us up before the main event (most apps I found were hearty, fried, or difficult to eat with just the hands). I come from a family of passionate foodies, and was a bit nervous about bringing such a simple, “unexciting” appetizer. It was a HIT! Seriously – everyone who tried it wanted the recipe (which I was easily able to recall thanks to the 3-ingredient list and super simple directions!). This one’s a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
