Smoked Turkey Sliders with Sriracha Mayo
Sliders are the perfect party food, especially this recipe with sliced smoked turkey breast topped with melty cheese, fresh tomato, roasted jalapeno slices, avocado, and a quick sriracha-mayo. Let’s get it started!
I have the perfect party food for you, my friends. SLIDERS. Sliders of any kind are always huge hits at your weekend gatherings. There are so many ways to make them, these tiny versions of our favorite burgers and sandwiches, so pleasantly bite sized so they won’t overstuff anyone, leaving them free to sample as many of the menu items as they’d like.
And now that the end of summer is nigh, you may want to bust out your grill for one last bash, as well as this recipe for sliders that are super easy to whip together for a crowd.
We’re talking Smoked Turkey Sliders with Sriracha Mayo. Yes!
I love these. They’re easy enough to put together because the turkey breast is already cooked from the smoking process, so they really only need to be heated up on the buns.
Your only real work is slicing, a bit of jalapeno roasting – see How to Roast Chili Peppers in case you need a reminder – and a bit of condiment mixing.
Easy enough, right?
You can find smoked turkey breast at your local grocer, though I smoked one myself over the weekend in preparation for this recipe, then sliced it up. Let me know if I should write up that recipe.
A typical turkey breast is roughly 2 pounds, so you should be able to achieve 16 decent sized sandwiches with about 2 ounces of smoked turkey each.
I like to REALLY load up on the toppings, so these might be a bit heartier than think. If you do so, you might be able to stretch the meat into more sliders, maybe 20-25 or so.
The process is simple enough, and it is flexible so you can do this both indoors with your oven or outdoors with your grill.
How to Make These Smoked Turkey Sliders – The Recipe Method
Essentially, get your oven or grill heated up to medium. Slice the turkey breast thinly and top each of the slider bun bottoms with about 2 ounces turkey breast, or divide it evenly, depending on how many sliders you’re making. Place them all on a large baking sheet.
Top each with cheese and set the sliders onto the grill or into the oven. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the turkey is warmed and the cheeses are nicely melted.
Top them all with sliced tomatos, roasted jalapeno peppers and avocado slices.
Lastly, whisk together the sriracha, mayo, lime juice and salt to make your super simple Sriracha Mayo. Drizzle it over each of the sliders and top with the bun tops.
Serve them up! Great party food, especialy for this time of year! I hope you and all of your guests enjoy them!
