Happy Holidays, everyone! What an excellent year! We’ve been super busy working on the Chili Pepper Madness food blog and zesty food information site, and we’re happy to share our TOP 10 CHILI PEPPER RECIPES OF 2015. Can you guess which recipe of 2015 is number one? Read on. It just may shock you! What were some of YOUR favorite recipe on our site for the year? Feel free to share!

When we started our food blog many years ago, our idea was to simply share our love of bold, zesty, and spicy food, which OF COURSE includes chili peppers, but we also fought to grow as communicators and artisans in this vast food blogging community. We’ve met a number of great people along the way and we’re excited to share what we’ve learned through the pages of our blog. Our goal is to continue to grow, and to be able to share with you our passion for cooking. And peppers. There is no limit to better. We hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR, and cheers to 2016. Onward!

I am trying to match a local restaurant recipe, for my own use. I have seen it in two privately owned Mexican restaurants in Alb. NM, of course there salsa is very popular and they don’t want to share there main draw.
They have been serving this salsa for over 30 years that I have been eating there. Green Chilli Salsa.
Definitely, Hatch green chili’s, it is quite hot, so there are other hotter chili’s added. No Jalapeno slices visible. Some finely chopped red/orange pieces showing. No tomatoes. Salsa is coarsely chopped or they used a food processor.
Other spices/other unknown, I think there is finely chopped onions, maybe garlic?
    (Final color, is a yellow-green)
( I have tried tomilitos, color was close, taste way off, too sweet.)
I have been told that it uses chicken broth, and corn starch for the final thickening, but not sure of that.
Clue: Old men Mexican cooks, restaurants are low key, 60’s diner type, date backover 40-50 years.

Anyone have a clue as to where I can get a recipe like this?

REPLY: Wow, Bill. I guess I’d have to try the salsa before I could try to duplicate it. But, we do have a Hatch Chile Salsa on the site here. Give it a search, or go to Salsas under Recipes. — Mike from Chili Pepper Madness.
