- 1 pound ground turkey

- 1 medium jalapeno diced
- 1 small white onion diced
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cupbread crumbs
- Olive oil as needed
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
FOR SERVING
- 4 buns
- Sliced avocado
- Charred tomatoes
- Sliced seared jalapeno peppers
- Tortilla chips on the side
Add the ground turkey, taco seasonings, diced jalapeno, onion, egg and bread crumbs to a large bowl. Hand mix, but do not overmix or the burgers can become mealy.
Form the burgers into 4 quarter pound patties.
Heat the oil in a large pan and add the burger patties. Sear a couple minutes on each side, then cover and cook until they are cooked through completely, about 10 minutes.
Top each with cheddar cheese and cover. Cook until the cheese is nicely melted.
Serve on buns and top with sliced avocado and seared jalapeno peppers, with some chips and charred tomatoes on the side.
Enjoy!
