Crab Claws with Mustard Dipping Sauce

- 12 medium sized stone crab claws
- 1 orange Cubanelle pepper diced
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
- 4 tablespoons spicy mustard
- 2 ounces heavy cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon chili powder or red pepper flakes we used jalapeno powder
Heat a sauce pan to medium heat.
Add olive oil with Cubanelle peppers.
Cook about 5 minutes until peppers are softened.
Add garlic and cook 1 more minute to brown.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
Transfer to a bowl and cover.
Chill until ready to serve.
Crack the claws with a wooden mallet. So the shells don't spray all over, wrap the claws first in a towl and lightly crack.
Carefully remove the crab meat from the cracked shells and dip into sauce.
