- 1.5 oz silver tequila
- 0.5 oz watermelon schnapps or mango liqueur, if you prefer
- 1-2 dashes hot sauce Valentina, Cholula, or even habanero-based if you're brave
- 0.25 oz fresh lime juice
- .5 teaspoon chamoy optional, but highly recommended
- For the rim: Tajín + a pinch of cayenne pepper
- Garnish: Mini watermelon wedge or spicy tamarind straw optional
Party-Size Pitcher Version (Makes 8–10 Shots)
- 1.25 cups silver tequila
- ½ cup watermelon schnapps or mango liqueur
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1-2 tablespoons chamoy optional, but adds depth
- 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce adjust to your heat tolerance
- Tajín + cayenne for glass rims
- Ice for shaking or chilling
- Garnish: Lime wedges watermelon slices, or spicy candy straws
Rim your shot glass with Tajín and cayenne. (Rub the rim with a lime wedge to help it stick.)
Add tequila, schnapps, lime juice, hot sauce, and chamoy to a shaker with ice.
Shake well until chilled.
Strain into the prepared shot glass and serve immediately.
Party-Size Pitcher Version
Mix all ingredients in a pitcher. Stir well to combine.
Chill in the fridge until ready to serve, or shake with ice in batches before pouring.
Rim each shot glass with Tajín and cayenne, pour, garnish, and get the party started.
